It’s the extras that turn a great kitchen into a dream kitchen and for each family, the extras are different.

Lefse Tool Storage

Lefse Tool Storage

It sounds dramatic, but trust us, as a company who has designed hundreds of kitchens, it’s these small details that make a kitchen remodel truly custom tailored. One example we love to share is about a client whose annual family Christmas tradition was to make lefse, a soft Norwegian flat bread.  The making of lefse requires a very large 16″ round grille to cook it on.  It was in our client interview process that we discovered she had no kitchen storage space that would fit her lefse grille and other lefse tools.  In our remodel design, we incorporated a few shallow drawers perfectly sized to store her lefse tools.  While this feature isn’t meaningful to everyone, for this particular client, it was one of many perfect finishing touches that make her kitchen feel like home.  To see more examples of Sawhill project specialty features, visit our Houzz.com ideabook by clicking here.

Our goal at Sawhill Custom Kitchens & Design is to over-deliver, helping you through every step of the kitchen remodeling process to ensure the result is a kitchen you will love.  In our initial stages of design at Sawhill, we go through an extensive interview process with our clients to determine how they intend to use the space, what their interests are and discuss the many other details that help us design a kitchen specifically tailored for them.  At Sawhill, we don’t take a cookie cutter approach and we don’t design generic one-size-fits-all spaces, we design beautiful spaces meant to fit each home-owner’s unique needs and preferences.
