After doing quite a bit of research; our client came to Sawhill wanting to remodel her kitchen. She wanted guidance, a balanced space, a retreat for her creativity. A location to spend time preparing meals for friends and family. The challenge of this Minneapolis kitchen remodeling project was to utilize the whole 115 sq. ft. of kitchen and allocate every square inch into useful space. She wanted modern amenities to a ’40 feel home. The client had selected a color palette, as part of the initial research, it was implemented on the project with a specific goal to show case her glassware collection.

As part of the modernization process to incorporate inclusiveness into the space; the decision was made to remove the partition wall from the kitchen to the dining/living room area. By doing so the space felt larger and allow us to provide a peninsula that could accommodate 2-3 stools in a breakfast bar.

Her time doing research paid off. The home owner now has a new space where she can feel comfortable entertaining, cooking succulent meals in a kitchen that fits just right for her needs.
